Islamabad November 12 2021: The SPI for the current week ended on 11th November, 2021 recorded an increase of 17.37 percent on YoY basis, as per data released by Pakistan Bureau Of Statistics (PBS).

Increase in prices of LPG (74.70 percent), Electricity for Q1 (75.32 percent), LPG (74.82 percent), Mustard Oil (54.71 percent), Vegetable Ghee 1 Kg (53.29 percent), Cooking Oil 5 litre (49.24 percent), Vegetable Ghee 2.5 Kg (48.27 percent), Petrol (41.94 percent) and Diesel (37.78 percent), while major decrease observed in the prices of Onions (40.40 percent), Pulse Moong (30.50 percent), Potatoes (19.64 percent), Sugar (2.22 percent) and Pulse Mash (1.50 percent).

Weekly Inflation Index Increased By 15.21 Percent


The week on week trend depicts increase of 1.81 percent. Increase in the prices of Tomatoes (18.70 percent), Diesel (6.04 percent), Petrol (5.78 percent), Cooking Oil 5 litre (4.27 percent), Vegetable Ghee 2.5 kg (3.37 percent), Vegetable Ghee 1kg (3.28 percent), Banana (3.04 percent), Bread (2.84 percent), Electricity for Q1 (2.74 percent), Eggs (1.82 percent), Potatoes (1.77 percent), Washing Soap (1.58 percent), Onions (1.51 percent), Energy Saver (1.30 percent) and Mustard Oil (1.21 percent) was observed with joint impact of (1.61 percent) into the overall SPI for combined group of (1.81 percent).

On the other hand, decrease observed in the prices of Sugar (9.35 percent), Pulse Mash (0.45 percent), Pulse Moong (0.42 percent), Pulse Gram (0.29 percent), Wheat Flour Bag (0.26 percent) and Garlic (0.04 percent).

During the week, out of 51 items, prices of 30 (58.82 percent) items increased 06 (11.76 percent) items decreased and 15 (29.42 percent) items remained stable.
