Soneri Bank Paid 10% Dividend Despite 35% Drop in Profits

Karachi February 22 2023: Soneri Bank Limited declared cash dividend of PKR 1 per share despite 35 percent decline in profits in 2022, according to Bank filing at the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The Bank posted Profit before tax (PBT) of PKR 4.55 billion and Profit after tax (PAT) of PKR 1.88 billion for the calendar year 2022, as compared to PKR 5.10 billion and PKR 2.08 billion respectively for the comparative prior period. Earnings per share (EPS) was recorded at PKR 1.7 per share for the current reporting period, as compared to PKR 2.7 per share for the comparative prior period.
