Karachi November 24 2024: The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by PKR 15,300 during the week and was sold at PKR 282,700 on Saturday against its sale at PKR 267,400 on previous Saturday, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also went up by PKR 1,857 to PKR 242,370 from PKR 240,483 whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat gold increased to PKR 222,172 from PKR 220,443.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained constant at PKR 3450 and PKR 2,957 respectively.
“Gold prices breached the USD 2,700 threshold for the first time in over two weeks on Friday, on track for their biggest weekly gain in nearly two years, as safe-haven demand outweighed dollar strength and lower expectations of a U.S. rate cut next month” states Reuters.
The price of gold in the international market increased by USD 153 during the week to USD 2,715 from USD 2,562, the Association reported.
