Sindh Government Advise Private Sector To Keep Businesses Close Tomorrow For Public Safety

Karachi July 24 2022: Government of Sindh in an official notification issued today advised the private sector in Karachi and Hyderabad Divisions to keep their businesses closed on Monday 25th July 2022, keeping in view the safety of general public.

In the same notification, the Government of Sindh in the wake of torrential monsoon rains declares Monday 25th July 2022 as public holiday, throughout Karachi and Hyderabad Divisions only except for the essential services and departments/entities engaged in rain emergency and COVID-19 emergency duties.

“Its been raining nonstop since early morning and severity of rainfall has increased in the last hour or so. Will request people to avoid unnecessary movement. The entire administration is still on ground & relief work will start as soon as the rain stops.” says Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Law, Administrator of Karachi and Spokesman Sindh Government Murtaza Wahab.

“The intermittent showers are expected to continue till 12pm tomorrow,” forecast Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) chief meteorologist Sarfaraz , adding that the current spell of monsoon rain is likely to continue for the next three days.
