Under the new regulations of SBP for extending loans through Naya Pakistan Low Cost Housing (NPLCH) under Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP), it shall not be mandatory for applicants of Tier 1 housing loans verified by Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA) through NADRA to be beneficiaries of Ehsaas .
Hence, housing finance extended under Tier 1 is exempt from the requirement of PMT score.
Tier 1 NAPHDA projects of NPLCH will be launched throughout Pakistan instead of selected provinces or districts.
Under Tier 1 NAPHDA project an individual can now get a loan of PKR 2.7 million without the condition of being registered in EHSAAS and PMT score restrictions.
Rate will be charged at 2% for year I to year 5; 4% for year 6 to year l0 and 5% for year 11 to 15.
Commercial banks/DFIs may continue to provide wholesale lending through Microfinance providers (MFPs) but will not provide direct lending to the customers under NPLCH.
