Karachi August 18 2023: In July 2023, Pakistan generated a revenue of USD 214 million by delivering a variety of Information Technology (IT) services across different countries, according to data published by State Bank of Pakistan
This figure reflects a rise of 7.5 percent in comparison to the earnings of USD 199 million from technology services in the same month of the previous year. However, there was a 4.4 percent decline in technology exports as compared to the USD 224 million exports recorded in June 2023.
When considering the broader timeframe of July 2022 to June 2023, the exports of Information Technology experienced a 1 percent reduction, amounting to USD 2.59 billion, in contrast to the exports totaling USD 2.62 billion during the corresponding period in the previous year.
