Islamabad October 14 2021: Pakistan Steel Mill has submitted an application with NEPRA for extension in generation license of its captive power plant.
Pakistan Steel Mill has Generation facility of 165 MW (Gross) located at Bin Qasim, Karachi, in the province of Sindh.

The Generation Licence of PSML had a terms of Ten (10) years which expired on September 24, 2018. PSML plans to extend/renew the term of the Generation Licence for another period of five (05) years.
PSML has submitted that Extension in the Generation Licence aims to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and to get No Objection Certificate (NOC) for transfer of licence to its subsidiary company.
