Lahore September 16 2022: Pakistan largest tractor manufacturer extend its plant closure to end of this month due to disruption in supply chain caused by floods.
Tractor deliveries have been affected due to damaged road infrastructure in view of devastating floods all over Pakistan. Resultantly, considering the inventory situation, it is informed that the Company will keep its production operations closed from till September 23, 2022. The plant was shut down on August 31, 2022.
Record monsoon rains in south and southwest Pakistan and glacial melt in northern parts triggered the flooding that has impacted nearly 33 million people in the 220 million South Asian nation, sweeping away homes, crops, bridges, roads and livestock in damages estimated at $30 billion.
Millat Tractors Limited is a public limited company and was incorporated in Pakistan in 1964 under the Companies Act, 1913 (now the Companies Act, 2017). The Company is principally engaged in assembling and manufacturing of agricultural tractors, implements and multiapplication products. The Company is also involved in the sale, implementation and support of IFS applications in Pakistan.
