National Tariff Commission has determined and levy of definitive Anti-Dumping duties on dumped imports of Aluminium Beverage Cans into Pakistan, originating in and/or exported from Jordan, Sri Lanka and UAE.

The invitation application was lodged on September 04, 2018 by Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited.
The antidumping investigation of Aluminium Beverage Cans into Pakistan, originating in and/or exporting from Jordan, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates was initiated on November 01, 2018.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the HS codes; 7612.90.10 and 7612.90.30.
On May 03, 2019, the National Tariff Commission imposed a provisional antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Jordan, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. The rate of duty on imports from Jordan was 21.86 percent. The rate of duty on imports from Sri Lanka was 17.14 percent. The rate of duty on imports from the UAE was 18.26 percent.
On February21, 2020, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission terminated the investigation on imports of aluminium beverage cans from Jordan, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates without the imposition of definitive duties. As such, the provisional duty imposed on imports from Jordan, Sri Lanka and the UAE were terminated.
