Islamabad August 23 2022: The Islamabad High Court has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a personal capacity by issuing a show cause notice in the case of contempt of court proceedings on the issue of threatening a female judge.
On Tuesday, a three-member bench headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court heard the contempt of court case against Imran Khan.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan and Justice Babar Sattar are also included in the bench headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani.
The court initiated contempt of court proceedings on the registrar’s note, in which Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Jadoon appeared in the court.
While hearing the contempt of court case against Imran Khan, the court has summoned him on August 31 in his personal capacity.
The Islamabad High Court has decided to constitute a larger bench of more than three judges in the contempt of court case against Imran Khan.
In this regard, the court has also issued a notice to the Attorney General of Pakistan for judicial assistance.
