Govt raises PKR 1,140 billion through T-bills auction

Cut-off yields remained almost same in T-bills auction

KARACHI: On June 16, 2021 raised PKR 1,140 billion through auction of market treasury bills.
The government received total bids of worth PKR 1,905 billion and the highest bids of PKR 1,113 billion for 6M T-bills followed by PKR 749 billion for 3M and PKR 43 billion for 12M.

The cut-off yields for 3M paper slightly down by 2 basis points to 7.3259 percent while for 6M and 12M it remained unchanged at 7.5894 percent and 7.6700 percent, respectively.

The government raised PKR 1,140 billion in latest auction. Mostly raised in 6M which was PKR 728 billion followed by 3M of PKR 411 billion and 12M 534 million. The target for the auction was PKR 1,110 billion.
