Karachi September 6 2023: The per tola price of 24 karat gold decreased by PKR 7,900 and was sold at PKR 223,900 as compared to its sale at PKR 231,800 the previous day.
In last two days gold prices decline by PKR 13,400 per tola as dollar falls to 313 from closing of 333 on Monday.
The decrease in gold prices is attributale to free fall in price of Dollar against Pakistan Rupee. Pakistani Rupee on Wednesday gained 09 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs306.97 against the previous day’s closing of Rs307.06. However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs313 and Rs316 respectively.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold reached PKR 191,960 whereas the rates of 10 gram 22 karat fell to PKR 175,962, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price per tola silver is quoted at PKR 2,690 per tola .
The price of gold in the international market increased by USD 0.68 to USD 1,926.49, the reuters reported.
