DG Khan Cement Reported Hefty Loss of PKR 3.6 Billion in Fiscal Year 2023

Karachi August 31 2023: D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited report loss of PKR 3.6 billion for the fiscal year 2023 against profit of PKR 2.9 billion last year, according to company filing to the exchange.

Share price of the company drop PKR 3.45 or 7.51 percent at Pakistan Stock Exchange after the result announcement.

Profit margin of the company drop by 327 basis points to 14.6 percent in fiscal year 2023 while taxation expense of the company increased 223 percent for the current year when compared with the last year.

D. G. Khan Cement Company Limited is a public company limited by shares incorporated in Pakistan in 1978 under the repealed Companies Act, 1913 (now Companies Act, 2017). The Company is principally engaged in production and sale of Clinker, Ordinary Portland and Sulphate Resistant Cement.
