Karachi September 4 2022: Officials in Sindh say that the water level in Manchar Lake is dangerously high and a cut has been installed to reduce the flow of water here.
Provincial Minister Jam Khan Shoro said that this cut was installed to skewer Sehwan city to release the flow of water and reduce the pressure to continue the discharge of water into the river.
According to officials, water has been stopped at Sukkur and Guddu to maintain the flow of the river. The provincial says that the water level in Manchar Lake is higher than the 2010 flood. At present, water is going to the Indus River from two places in Manchar, both of which are near Sehwan city.
According to the officials, some population will also be affected by this third cut, but it was necessary to make Sehwan safe.
