Karachi July 31 2023: Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has carried out the exercise of recomposition of Oil & Gas and Banking Sector Tradable Indices for the review period from January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023.
The re-composition has been carried out on the basis of the criteria of selection of companies as detailed in the Brochure of Oil & Gas and Banking Sector Tradable Indices.
There is no change in Tradable Index of Oil & Gas Sector (OGTi) whereas Bank of Punjab is added to Banking Sector Tradable Index (BKTi) in place of Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited due to the re-composition exercise.
Bank of Punjab (BoP) share price increase 14 paisa or 3.34 percent in today trading at Pakistan Stock Exchange with volume of more than 18.2 million.
Tradable sector indices capture a minimum 80% free float market capitalization of the given sector (without any minimum companies’ limit).
The recomposed Index will be implemented w.e.f. Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
