New Delhi May 25 2022: A special court has sentenced Kashmiri separatist leader Muhammad Yasin Malik to life in prison in the Indian capital New Delhi’s Tihar Jail for several years on charges of financing terrorists.
The court has twice sentenced Yasin Malik to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 million.
Earlier, when Muhammad Yasin Malik was produced in Delhi’s Patiala court on Wednesday morning, the prosecution presented arguments in favor of the death sentence, after which the judge adjourned the hearing till noon.
Security measures have been imposed in Srinagar in the wake of Asin Malik’s conviction by an Indian court.
