Dubai April 2 2023: The UAE has announced reduction in local prices of petrol and diesel for April 2023.
The cost of filling up the tank in vehicles in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE will be low for both petrol and diesel users after the new prices were revealed.
UAE petrol prices in March 2023
With prices changing it will make motoring in the UAE just 2.36 percent cheaper than last month.
From April 1 the cost of filling up vehicles in the UAE will be:
- Special 95 – AED 2.90 litre from AED 3.09 in March
- Super 98 – AED 3.01 a litre from AED 2.97 in March
- Diesel – AED 3.03 a litre from AED 3.14 in March
Petrol prices are affected by a global increase in crude oil prices, which have soared since the beginning of 2022. The ongoing Russia-Ukraine is one of the key reasons for the high cost of oil, and consequently petrol prices, as Russia is one of the world’s largest exporters of oil.
The peak price of filling up was seen in July of last year when diesel prices peaked at AED 4.76 a litre. Prices have fallen considerably since then, but remain up on the lows of AED 2.75 per litre in February 2022.
