Islamabad May 26, 2022: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the army has taken charge of important government buildings in Islamabad.
Talking to Pakistan’s private TV channel Geo News, Rana Sanaullah said, “The army has taken charge of all the sensitive buildings which they will protect.”
In response to a question, he said that the damage caused during the PTI Long March in Islamabad could not be estimated at this time.
“I hear that a metro station has been set on fire,” he said. We stopped the force from direct confrontation and told them to stay away from the distance.
The federal interior minister claimed that “so far people have been injured in the clashes but no casualties have been reported.”
Rana Sana said that the assurance given by PTI to the Supreme Court was not being implemented.
