Islamabad March 30 2023: The five-member bench hearing the matter of postponement of provincial elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been dissolved.
Bench member Justice Aminuddin refused to hear the matter on Thursday after which the bench was dissolved.
At the beginning of the hearing, Justice Aminuddin said that the bench wanted to continue the proceedings even after the judgment given by Justice Faiz Isa on Wednesday regarding the automatic notice cases, but he excused himself from hearing the matter. .
On the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, a five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal was hearing the matter for three days. In addition to Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ijazul Hassan, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel were included in this bench.
Now hearing the issue of postponement of the election will be possible only after the formation of a new bench.
