Karachi December 14 2023: The foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) saw an increase of USD 21 million in a week, according to data released by the Central Bank.
As of December 8th, 2023, the current level of SBP reserves is USD 7,040.8 million. During the same time Rupee gain more than one Rupee against the dollar to close on 283.87 on December 8th, 2023.
During the same time frame, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks increased by USD 79 million, reaching USD 5,165.9 million as of December 8th, 2023.
Overall, the country’s total reserves experienced an Increase of USD 99 million, reaching USD 12,206.4 million by the week ending on December 8th, 2023.
