The foreign exchange reserves held by the central bank rose 1.71 percent, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
As of May 28, 2021, the foreign currency reserves held by the SBP were recorded at USD16,134 million, witnessed a rise of USD272 million compared with USD15,862 million in the previous week.
Overall liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country, including banks stood at USD23,294 million. Reserves held by banks amounted to USD7,161 million.
Since Dec 2020, the SBP foreign exchange reserves has increased by USD2,718 million.
