Karachi March 3 2022: Foreign exchange reserves held by State Bank of Pakistan decrease by USD 344 million during the week ending February 25, 2022, as per data released by the Central Bank.
This is the third consecutive decline in the reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan. The main reason of this decrease in foreign exchange reserves is external debt repayments.

IMF seventh review for Extended Fund Facility to start from tomorrow
At present, SBP reserves stands at the level of USD 16.462 billion as of 25th February 2022 compared to USD 16.806 billion at the end of week ending 18th February 2022.
During the same period, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks decreased by USD 7 million to the level of USD 6.413 billion as of 25th February 2022.
Overall reserves held by country witnessed a decrease of USD 344 million during the week of 25th February 2022.
