Riyadh November 20 2024: The total raw milk produced in cow farms amounted to 2.8 billion liters, while the total number of dairy cows in specialized agricultural cow farms reached 234 thousand cows, as pe the results of the comprehensive agricultural survey for the year 2023.
The results also indicated that the production quantity in broiler chicken farms amounted to 1.107 thousand tons. The production of table eggs reached 7.9 billion eggs. The total number of sheep reached 29.4 million heads, and the total number of camels was 2.2 million across the Kingdom.
The results the comprehensive agricultural survey for the year 2023 indicated that the total amount of raw milk produced in cow farms across the Kingdom amounted to 2.8 billion liters. Riyadh ranked first in terms of raw milk production, reaching 1.6 billion liters, followed by Eastern Region in second place with 1 billion liters of production.
The results of the comprehensive agricultural survey for 2023 showed that the total amount of broiler chicken produced across the Kingdom reached 1.107 thousand tons (Figure 2). Riyadh ranked first in terms of broiler chicken production, reaching 282 thousand tons, followed by Makkah in second place with a production of 185 thousand tons, and hail in third place with a production of 171 thousand tons.
The results of the publication revealed that the total production of table eggs in laying chicken farms across the Kingdom reached 7.9 billion eggs. Riyadh ranked first with a production of 3 billion eggs, followed by Makkah in second place with 1.4 billion eggs, and Eastern Region in third place with 1 billion eggs, out of the total table egg production for the Kingdom in 2023.
The total number of sheep in traditional holdings across the Kingdom reached 22 million heads, with 19.3% males and 80.7% females. The total number of camels was 2.2 million heads, with 32% less than four years old and 68% four years and more. The total number of goats was 7.4 million heads, and the number of cows in non-specialized agricultural holdings was 39 thousand heads, with 46.9% dairy cows.
