Moscow April 14 2023: Russia’s international reserves amounted to $593.9 bn as of 7th Apri, 2023, increased by 1.2% (or by $6.9 bln) in one week, the Central Bank of Russia said in a statement on Thursday.
“International reserves amounted to $600.8 bn as of 7th April, up by $6.9 bn, or by 1.2%, in one week as a result of positive revaluation,” the statement said as carried by the Russian News Agency (TASS).
As of 31st March, international reserves totaled $593.9 bn.
Russia’s international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets available with the Bank of Russia and the Russian government. They comprise foreign currency, Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold.
