Lahore August 28 2022: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has issued an order to the administration and related institutions of Mianwali to remain on alert in view of the threat of floods.
He says that all preparations should be made to deal with any situation.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has issued an order to use all resources for timely evacuation of people.
The chief minister said that security arrangements should be effective and comprehensive in all respects and ample stock of medicines, clean drinking water, fodder for cattle and essential equipment should be kept.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi says that the flow of water in the Indus River should be monitored 24 hours a day. He has asked the concerned officers to visit the dam and protective embankment of the river and inspect it themselves.
Boats, dewatering sets and other equipment should be fully functional, says Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
