Lahore May 22 2022: The Punjab Assembly session was adjourned till June 6 after a brief proceeding.
The meeting was chaired by Waseem Khan Baduzai of Panel of Chair and first of all the action against no-confidence motion against Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi was at the top of the agenda.
However, PML-N MPA Samiullah Khan was not present in the hall at the time. The resolution was disposed of without a vote.
It is to be noted that no action has been taken against the Deputy Speaker on the motion of no-confidence of the PTI, whereas earlier a motion of no-confidence had been filed against the Deputy Speaker.
When the resolution against Speaker Pervez Elahi was tabled, members of PML-N and allied parties were not present in the assembly hall. When the members of PML-N and allied parties came later, they sat on the government benches but by that time the assembly session had been adjourned.
