Islamabad June 8 2022: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the bail plea of opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh.
The court had granted three weeks bail to Haleem Adil Sheikh in a blasphemy case.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the court had granted three-week security bail to Haleem Adil Sheikh and ordered him to appear in the relevant court but during that time he did not appeared in a court. Now they have come to get security bail in another case.
Haleem Adil Sheikh’s lawyer said that his client wanted to appear in the Sindh Assembly session so he should be given security bail on which the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court said that security bail was given in the first case That they should appear in a relevant court but it has not happened yet.
Petitioner’s counsel stated that Sindh Police wanted to arrest his client, to which the head of the bench directed him to approach the Sindh High Court in this regard as this court could not interfere in the jurisdiction of Sindh High Court.
