Islamabad May 27 2022: In his address to nation Prime Minister of Pakistan says, ‘”he had increased the price of petrol by putting a stone on his heart but why he made this decision it is necessary to bring it before you. This decision was necessary to save Pakistan from economic bankruptcy, this is the approach taken by the previous government. The former government plunged Pakistan and its people into an economic crisis.”
Shahbaz Sharif said that a package of Rs. 28 billion was being launched to save the nation from the burden of increase in petrol price. Poor families will be given Rs 2,000 per month. This relief is in addition to what is already being given to these families.
He said, “country is expected to run budget deficit of Rs 5,600 billion which is highest in the history”.
The Prime Minister said that the utility stores have been asked to provide a 10 kg bag of flour for Rs. 400.
