Islamabad September 17 2022: Petroleum Prices likely to remain unchanged with a slight drop of 8 paisa either in the prices of Petrol or Diesel says Pakistan’s Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.
“Although prices of Brent has come down significantly but there are number of other reason too that determines the prices of petroleum product in Pakistan as our import prices are linked to Platts. Country has to pay a significant premium over refinery prices due to increased risk associated with Pakistan and last rupee has also depreciated during this period.” he added.
The decision regarding the change will be announced tomorrow which was delayed due to absence of Prime Minister as he was in Samarkand for attending Shangai Cooperation Organization Summit.
