Islamabad April 1 2022: Motor Spirit (Petrol) and High Speed Diesel (HSD) will jump to PKR 229.14 per liter and PKR 237.4 per liter if Prime Minister Imran Khan ends subsidy package on petroleum products and rationalizes the sales tax regime.
As per the recent summary submitted by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the new prices asked for the period from April 1 to April 15th are PKR 205.64 per liter on MS, PKR 213.02 per liter on HSD and PKR 163.38 per liter on kerosene.
These prices are calculated by using Sales tax assumption of 5 percent instead of 17 percent. However, this working of prices for petroleum products by OGRA includes Petroleum Levy of PKR 21.92 and PKR 17.3 per liter on MS and HSD, respectively.
