Lahore June 4 2022: The Punjab Chief Minister has decided to abolish the Cabinet Patrol Allowance and has also sought details of petrol expenditure of all the provincial departments.
A high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz was held in Lahore in which it was decided that the Chief Minister and members of the provincial cabinet would not take official petrol and would pay the petrol expenses themselves while carrying out official duties.
The Chief Minister said that the people are fully aware of the difficulties faced by them in raising the prices of petroleum products and they will start saving on their own.
The meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister, also took important decisions at government level regarding savings, supply of fertilizers and prices of other essential commodities.
The meeting decided to propose the federal government not to allow the export of cochineal and agreed to take all possible steps to provide economic relief to the people.
Hamza Shahbaz said that historic steps are being taken to provide subsidy to the needy.
He said that it has been decided to intensify crackdown on stockists of fertilizers and other essential commodities.
