Pakistan’s Former Finance Minister is Ready to Surrender

Islamabad September 21 2022: Former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has filed an application against the arrest warrant in the court of Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Basheer.

In the petition, it is said that NAB should withdraw the arrest warrant of Ishaq Dar, Ishaq Dar is ready to surrender but he should not be arrested on his return.

The court issued a notice to NAB and adjourned the hearing till September 23.

Ishaq Dar is currently member of Upper house of Pakistan but residing in UK. He is also former Finance Minister of Pakistan. Previously, he had been a Member of the Senate of Pakistan from 2003 to 2018. He is a former Minister for Industries and Investment, Minister for Commerce and four-time Minister for Finance of Pakistan.
