Islamabad October 25 2023 : Pakistan Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif on Tuesday said that Pakistan was working towards a balanced space policy.
“The policy will protect our national interests and enable us to benefit from rapid advances in private sector such as Starlink etc” he said while chairing a meeting on Pakistan’s National Space Policy.
According to a news release, the meeting discussed in details regarding finalisation of Pakistan’s National Space Policy.
Secretary IT Hassan Nasir Jamy was also present at the meeting.
Authorities from SUPARCO, PTA, SIFC and SPD attended the meeting.
Additional Secretary MoITT Ms. Aisha Humera Moriani and senior officers of the Ministry were also present.
