Islamabad May 22 2023: Met Office informed that a westerly wave is likely to enter in western and upper parts of the country on 22nd May likely to persist during the week with occasional gaps.
Dust storm/wind storm may cause damage to lose structure and standing crops in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during 23rd to 25th May.
Under the influence of this weather system wind-dust/thunderstorm-rain with a few hailstorm (Isolated heavy falls) is expected in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur), Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar),Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Kohat, Bannu, Tank, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Islamabad, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum from 22nd (evening/night) to 26th May.
Wind-dust/thunderstorm-rain (with isolated hailstorm) is expected Sargodha, Mianwali, Layyah, Khushab, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Nankana, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sialkot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Okara, Sahiwal, Lahore, R.Y khan, Bahawalnagar, Multan, D.G khan and Rajanpur from 23rd (evening/night) to 26th May.
Wind-dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected in Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Qilla Saifullah, Qillah Abdullah, Chaman, Pishin, Noshki, Naseerabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Sibbi, Turbat, Panjgur), upper Sindh (Sukkur, Dadu, Jacobabad & Larkana) on 22nd (evening/night) 24th May.
