Islamabad June 2 2022: As per the latest data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, exports stood at USD 2,601 million while Imports were USD 6,644 million during May 2022.
The data showed that exports during May 2022 were 10 percent lower than exports of April 2022 while increased by 55.6 percent compared to exports of April 2022.
During 11MFY22, exports increased by 27.78 percent YoY to USD 28,848 million.
The data showed that imports during May 2022 were 0.52 percent lower than imports of April 2022 while up by 25.43 percent compared to imports of May 2021.
During 11MFY22, imports increased by 44.28 percent YoY to USD 72,182 million.
Trade deficit jumped up by 6.92 percent month on month and 11.72 percent year on year during May 2022 to USD 4,043 million. During 11MFY22, trade deficit increased by 57.85 percent YoY to USD 43,334 million.
