Islamabad July 17 2023: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the government will not notify the new census and the next election will be held on the basis of the old census.
Speaking in Geo News program Naya Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah said that the term of the assembly will be completed in August and after that the caretaker government will come.
“The caretaker government will come and conduct elections in 60 or 90 days according to the constitution.”
Rana Sanaullah further said that ‘some problems have arisen in the new census, that’s why it is not being notified. In this regard, MQM is also dissatisfied with the results of the new census and does not recognize them. In Balochistan there are also major objections to the results of new census.
“That’s why everyone’s agreement on the new census is necessary because a quick decision on the census can make it controversial.”
