Islamabad June 9 2023: Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar will present the budget for the upcoming financial year 2023-24 today, this will be the second budget of the coalition government and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Before the budget meeting, the federal cabinet will approve the budget 2023-24 in its special meeting. The cabinet will decide increase in pension and salary of government employees.
After the National Assembly, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will also present the budget documents in the Senate, the Senate meeting will be held at 6 pm.
In the Senate session, the budget will be sent to the Standing Committee on Finance for recommendations, but the government is not bound to implement the recommendations of the Senate regarding the budget.
