Karachi July 20 2024: Pakistan’s Technology export remittances surged to historic record high of USD 3.2 billion in Fiscal Year 2024, marking an impressive increase of 24 percent compared to USD 2.6 billion in Fiscal Year 2023.
The share prices of technology sector stocks saw negative trend on Friday as overall KSE-100 index fall 1,722 or 2.1 percent.
Moreover, during the month of June 2024 technology exports surged 32 percent year on year to USD 298 million compared to USD 225 million in the same month last year. However, in comparison to the previous month of May 2024, ICT services export remittances have decreased by USD 34 million, reflecting a 10 percent growth in June 2024.
The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, along with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) in close coordination with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has been instrumental in driving accelerated international business development and improving the ease of doing business environment.
