Islamabad May 13 2022: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notify Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGP) at USD 21.83 per MMBTU for May 2022 as Pakistan bought four .
RLNG prices are increased substantially by 113 percent on year on year basis for the consumers when compared to rate of USD 10.2525 per mmbtu in May 2021. However, in rupee terms prices are 157 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
In rupee terms the RLNG prices will be PKR 4,045 per MMBTU for May 2022 compared to PKR 1,572 in the month of May 2021.
As per the notice, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) will bring eight (8) cargoes of LNG while Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) will import four (4) LNG cargoes during February 2022.
The weighted average price of PSO is USD 13.15/MMBTU while PLL prices of LNG for the month of May 2022 will be USD 25.95/MMBTU.
Average prices of Brent for the calculation of May 2022 RLNG prices has witnessed a growth of 61.5% compared to May 2021. The Arabl light prices used for calculation of RLNG prices for May 2022 has been calculated at USD 104.02 per barrels.
