Karachi March 10 2023: Pakistan worker remittance increase 4.94% in February 2023 to USD 1,987 million when compared with USD 1,894 million in the previous month, according to data released by State Bank of Pakistan.
Remittance from UAE and Saudi Arabi increases by 20.3% and 11.5% in February 2023 when compared with the inflows of previous month.
Workers Remit USD 454 million and USD 324 million from Saudi Arabia and UAE. Moreover, remittances increased by 2.6% from USA to USD 219 million when compared with inflows of USD 214 million in January 2023.
However, remittances decreased by 9.5% on year on year basis.
With cumulative inflow of US$ 18 billion during first eight months of FY23, the remittances decreased by 10.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
