Islamabad August 21 2022: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned the live broadcast of the address of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.
In the statement released by Pemra, it is said that Imran Khan is constantly making baseless accusations against institutions and spreading hatred in his speeches, Imran Khan is constantly inciting against institutions and officers in his speeches.
PEMRA directed all the licenses to refrain from telecasting any content in any manner (either recorded or produced under its banner or aired during a live speech or press talk) against state insitutions.
In the statement, referring to Imran Khan’s speech at F-9 Park, it is said that Imran Khan is disturbing public peace, Imran Khan’s speech is a violation of Article 19 of the Constitution. In the speech, Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan threatened the female magistrate of the federal capital and announced a case against IG and DIG Islamabad.
