Islamabad May 29 2022: Refineries throughout witnessed an increase of 8.1 percent during the month of March 2022 as compared to the corresponding month of last year (March 2021), OCAC reported.
The petroleum products that contributed in positive growth in production included jet fuel, the output of which increased by 13.3 percent.
Likewise, the production of Motor Spirit increased by 10.6 percent, Diesel oil by 11.0 percent, high speed diesel by 9.0 percent, furnace oil by 2.7 percent, Solvent Naptha by 22.8 percent, and LPG by 2.6 percent.
The variants that witnessed negative growth in production included kerosene oil, the output of which went down by 8.0 percent while the output of all other petroleum products declined by 17.2 percent.
However, the overall throughput of Refineries during July-March (2021-22) witnessed an increase of 2.0 percent as compared to the corresponding period of fiscal year (2020-21).
During this period, the production of jet fuel went up by 25.6 percent, kerosene oil by 18.4 percent, Motor Spirit by 0.8 percent, diesel oil by 11.7 percent, lubricating oil by 12.7 percent, jute batching oil by 14.0 percent, solvent Naptha by 15.2 percent and LPG by 3.8 percent.
The variants that witnessed negative growth in production during July-March (2021-22) included, High Speed Diesel, output of which declined by 0.1 percent while the output of Furnace oil declined by 7.5 percent.
