Karachi May 17 2024: Pakistan recorded current account surplus of USD 491 million for the month of April 2024 compared with surplus of USD 434 million in March 2024.
Country’s overall current deficit from July to April 2024 decreases to USD 202 million compared with current account deficit of USD 3,920 million in the same period last year.
The balance of trade dropped to USD 1,813 million in April 2024, down from USD 2,044 million in March. Workers’ remittances were recorded at USD 2,812 million in April, compared to USD 3,269 million in the previous month.
