Karachi 24 Jul 2024: According to data from the State Bank of Pakistan, the net inflow into Treasury Bills through special convertible accounts reached USD 581 million during FY 2024, making it the second-highest annual inflow for this debt security.
The highest net inflow recorded so far was USD 613 million in FY 2020.
The stable currency and higher interest rates have contributed to attracting half a billion dollars this year.
When including a net inflow of USD 122 million in equities and longer-term debt securities, the total net inflows have reached a nine-year high of USD 701 million.
