Islamabad August 26 2022: Federal Minister of Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafiq has announced that the service of passenger trains between Multan and Hyderabad on the railway main line one from Karachi to Peshawar is being suspended.
While addressing the press conference, he said that the operation will continue from Karachi to Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas, while from Multan to Peshawar, but passenger trains will not be run in between due to the flood situation. Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that if there is five to six inches on the tracks, running the trains is not without danger.
However, he said that the cargo operation will continue as usual.
Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that Pakistan Railways will decide by tomorrow night whether they can run shuttle trains on routes which have been closed for a long time but are not affected by floods.
