Lahore January 5 2022: Pakistan lost USD 250 million exports in Dec’21 as a consequence of gas suspension to the industries in Punjab for 15 days. Exports would’ve crossed USD 1.9 billion, highest ever. Still have managed to clock in USD 1.64 billion (17 percent increase over Dec’20).
2nd highest production after USD 1.74 billion in Nov’21. It’s a request not to conspire against Pak. Exports growing at a pace higher than ever, USD 6 billion increase in exports expected than the corresponding year.
High Value Exports increased, consuming more of Yarn & Fabric for Value Addition due to new capacity addition in Garments. Still we’ve the capacity to add up another USD 10 billion of Export to the targeted USD 21 billion export this year by setting up more downstream industries.
If the complete chain remains viable with sustainable availability of Regionally Competitive Energy pricing, without any Export Bias.
