Islamabad October 10 2022: The scheduled maintenance activity of Fauji Fertilizer Company Plant-I commenced today, Oct 10, 2022, according to the company filing to the exchange.
The total planned duration of the activity is 20 days. It will ensure long term reliability and sustainable safe operations of the plant.
The Company’s production of Sona urea stood at 1,276 thousand tonnes during the first half of 2022 which was 4% higher than last year. This is mainly due to no maintenance turnaround during the first half, whereas maintenance turnaround of one plant was carried out during same period last year. The Company has however planned maintenance turnaround of two plants in second half of the year. This is expected to reduce the production during the second half of 2022 and also lead to higher repair and maintenance cost compared to last year.
Higher urea demand resulted in record Sona urea offtake of 1,275 thousand tonnes in first half of 2022, 13% higher than last year. Increased urea sales combined with higher prices of imported fertilizers also led to highest ever all product revenue of Rs 54.71 billion during the period.
