Karachi January 4 2023: The foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) saw an increase of USD 464 million in the past week mainly due to receipt of official Government of Pakistan inflows, according to data released by the Central Bank.
As of December 29th, 2023, the current level of SBP reserves is USD 8,221.2 million.
During the same time frame, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks decreased by USD 99 million, reaching USD 4,999.4 million as of December 29th, 2023.
Overall, the country’s total reserves experienced an increase of USD 365 million, reaching USD 13,220.6 million by the week ending on December 29th, 2023.
