Islamabad September 27 2024: The Privatization Commission has extended the bidding date for the privatization of National Airlines PIA by one month to October 31.
According to geo news, the new date for signing the draft agreement has been fixed on October 25.
Sources say that the Privatization Commission has given a deadline of October 28 for the advance bid amount.
Aviation sources say that this expansion will deal a blow to the privatization of PIA.
Earlier, the advance was to be deposited on September 27. By October 1, all preparations for bidding for the privatization of COPIA were complete.
According to the sources, a consortium of 6 private companies are participating in the bidding so far.
