Islamabad August 31 2024: The government of Pakistan here on Saturday announced decrease of PKR 1.86 in prices of per liter petrol, finance ministry said in a press release.
The per liter petrol would be available now at PKR 259.10 with effective from September 1st, 2024 against its sale at PKR 260.96 during last fortnight.
The prices of high speed diesel have also been reduced by PKR 3.32 per liter, bringing it down to PKR 262.72 from PKR 266.07.
Prices of kerosene and light diesel oil are reduced by PKR 2.15 per liter and PKR 2.97 per liter to PKR 169.62 per liter and PKR 154.05 per liter, respectively.
According to the statement, the prices of petroleum products have continued to fluctuate in the international market during the last fortnight.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market and exchange rate adjustments, the statement added.
